This series of textbooks is divided into three parts, namely the elementary, the enhancing and the expanding, each of which contains two volumes. The series takes the form of combination, with one lesson for each day and one volume for each month. Each of the six volumes can be used independently or together with other volumes. Teachers can choose proper breakthrough points based on the students’ length of learning and language proficiency and can also capture relatively complete learning periods. Taking communication as the guiding principle, the series attaches importance to the training of listening and speaking skills and takes practicability into consideration in the choosing and compiling of vocabulary, sentence patterns, functions and exercises, so as to enhance the students’ understanding and mastery as well as the ability to practice. Suitable for beginners and highlighting practicability, it is a series of textbooks for the main courses of short-term Chinese learning. This volume belongs to the elementary part and is suitable for absolute beginners in Chinese language. The accompanying two audio tapes are sold independently.
