This book systematically studies Japan and Republic of Korea’s direct investments to China using comparative approaches. Specifically, it makes multi-dimensional analyses of the strategic characteristics of Japan and Republic of Korea’s direct investments to China, including both the horizontal/static and vertical/dynamic comparisons. It makes in-depth analyses of the strategic characteristics of Japan and Republic of Korea’s direct investments to China and the trade effects from holistic/macro and micro levels, showing the similarities and differences of both countries’ direct investments to China and makes pertinent suggestions for countermeasures on this basis.
Zhang Jinghong got her Master of Arts degree from the Department of International Economics and Trade, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in 2001 and taught at the Department of Business and Trade Chinese, College of Chinese Studies, Beijing Language and Culture University in the same year. She took her doctoral program of Multinational Enterprise Management at Central University of Finance and Economics starting 2007 and got her Doctor of Economics degree in 2011.
She focuses her research areas mostly on China’s foreign trade, foreign direct investment to China, multinational enterprise management, with over 10 papers published in Economic Management and other periodicals, a number of projects funded by the National Foundation of Social Sciences, a translation work published and a great many of textbooks edited.
