Idiomatic Phrases in Daily Life has two volumes. This is Volume 2, which includes 200 common phrases divided into four types—those appraising people, those describing circumstances, those describing things and those about verbal communication. Under each type, there are positive/affirmative phrases and ironic/critical phrases among others.
Each entry is provided with pinyin, Chinese, English and Russian definitions, and several example sentences and dialogues. Elegant, lively and interesting illustrations are provided to help learners better understand these idiomatic phrases.
At the end of the book there is an Index in Alphabetical Order showing page numbers to facilitate learners’ search.
