Since its
debut in 2008, the International
Curriculum for Chinese Language Education (hereinafter referred to as Curriculum) has been playing a guiding
role in Chinese language teaching in primary schools, middle schools and
universities in China and abroad. In order to adapt to the new situations of
international Chinese education, timely summarize the research findings of
Chinese language teaching, and better plan and guide Chinese language teaching
in aspects such as curriculum design, textbook writing and ability evaluation,
the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) released a revised edition of theCurriculumin 2013, in which more
practical and feasible content had been added, including “A List of Suggested
Steps for Common Courses of Chinese Language Teaching” and “Example Lessons of
a Comprehensive Teaching Model Frequently Used in Chinese Language Classrooms”.
Subsequently
in 2014, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) held
an Exemplary Lesson Contest of International Chinese Teaching oriented at
Chinese language teachers and others in this field, through which a lot of
example lessons designed according to the Curriculum (Revised Edition) were collected.Exemplary
Lessons of International Chinese Teachingis a collection of all the
award-winning works and some honorable mentions presented at this contest,
including a total of 45 example lessons divided into three volumes: volume for
adults 1 (Levels 1-3), volume for adults 2 (Levels 4-6), and volume for
teenagers.
This is Volume 3, the
volume for teenagers, in which there are altogether 18 example lessons.
