The major features of the textbook include: 1. Every chapter gives formulas, conclusions, theorems and matters for attention, with illustrative examples, but without elaborations on the derivation processes or too much verbal explanation; 2. English translations are provided for mathematical terms, difficult words, long descriptions and exercise instructions at first appearance; 3. Difficult terms are substituted by easier or colloquial words, and verbal explanations assisted by mathematical symbols and formulas so as to reduce the difficulty of the concepts, definitions, theorems and conclusions; 4. Chinese and English pronunciations of the mathematical symbols and Chinese and English mathematical terms are provided in the appendices of the book.
