international students of pre-university programs in China, which aims to build
a bridge for students to study from general Chinese to Chinese for liberal arts
after one semester of study, and lays a linguistic and knowledge base before taking
their undergraduate studies in the liberal arts.
This is the listening and speaking coursebook, suitable
for international students of pre-university programs before they study Chinese
language and literature, law, history, philosophy and other majors related to
liberal arts.
Dr. Zhang Jun, an
Associate Professor of Beijing Language and Culture University, devotes himself
to the studies of Chinese international education, language testing, second
language acquisition and other fields. He has published many papers in CSSCI
source journals and undertaken various scientific projects. Besides these, he
has taught a variety of Chinese courses for students, and training courses for
teachers at both home and abroad. Dr. Zhang wrote HSK Standard Course 4(A & B), Experiencing Chinese (Intermediate Course)(I & II), and other
textbooks planned by Hanban. With rich experience in Chinese teaching, textbook
compilation and Chinese testing, Dr. Zhang has for many years been engaged in
the organization, proposition and interview of many national Chinese tests,
including HSK, new HSK, CTEST, CTEST, and the final test for international
students of pre-university programs to apply Chinese Government Scholarship.
