This book transforms Goldberg’s theories about constructive grammar, builds the framework for constructive grammar analysis, and applies it in the analyses of the ditransitive construction in Chinese. It analyzes and explains the cognitive and semantic foundation and generative mechanism of the ditransitive construction in Chinese, builds the integration and interaction analysis model of the constructive and verbal meanings, discusses the semantic characteristics of the ditransitive construction and the integration and interaction of the semantic characteristics of verbs. It also studies the types of verbs forming ditransitive constructions and the sentence formation rules of the ditransitive construction.
