Cui Xiliang, Doctor of Arts, President of Beijing Language and Cultural University, is a professor of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, a tutor of Ph.D. candidates, an executive member of Chinese Language Society, the vice-chairman of The International Society for Chinese Language Teaching, and the chairman of Beijing Language Society. Mr. Cui has been awarded among Elite Young Teachers of Universities in Beijing and been acknowledged as a trans-century talent by China’s Ministry of Education. Zhang Baolin is a researcher in the HSK Center of Beijing Language and Culture University Press and a tutor of postgraduates, whose research focuses on modern Chinese grammar, teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese language testing, corpus construction, and acquisition of Chinese sentence patterns. Mr. Zhang has undertaken, hosted or been a major member of more than 10 projects, including national-level projects and projects sponsored by the Beijing City, the Ministry of Education, Hanban, or Beijing Language and Culture University, such as investigation of Chinese word categories, research on the test of passage knowledge, HSK dynamic composition corpus, and corpus of Chinese texts by international students in Beijing, etc.
